Congress Votes to Recognize Armenia Genocide

The U.S. House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to approve a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide committed during the First World War by Ottoman Turks. The resolution formally recognizes atrocities committed in the First World War by the Ottomans as genocide, a first for the Congress, where previous votes on similar resolutions have failed.
