Finally, Major General Hossein Salami, the commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corp. (IRGC), says that destroying Israel was an “achievable goal.” “This sinister regime must be wiped off the map and this is no longer … a dream [but] it is an achievable goal,” Salami told the Guards’ Sepah news outlet. Salami also said that “we have managed to obtain the capacity to destroy the impostor Zionist regime.” Such statements are nothing new from Iran, which has increased its belligerent rhetoric towards the U.S. and Israel as sanctions cripple its economy.
