King Salman Names Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Energy Minister

The week before the attacks on its oil fields, Saudi Arabia’s King Salman named his son Abdulaziz bin Salman as energy minister, discharging veteran official Khalid al-Falih. The kingdom also replaced its deputy energy minister. Al-Falih’s discharge came days after he was sacked as chairman of Aramco as the company prepares for its initial public offering (IPO).
