Abdul Salam al-Badri, a senior member of the rebel government backed by Libyan strongman General Khalifa Haftar, gave an interview to the Israeli newspaper Makor Rishon, calling on Israel to support Haftar’s government. It is the latest sign that the taboo on Israeli-Arab politics is flagging. Although Israel has no official ties with Libya, it is widely speculated that Israel clandestinely provides support to Haftar.
