Pence and Pompeo Negotiate Cease Fire

Despite the high tensions, U.S. Vice-President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo managed to negotiate a cease-fire between Turkey and U.S.-backed Kurds in Syria. The deal called for a 120-hour cease fire while Kurdish forces pulled back from the 20-mile wide buffer zone along the border. Turkish military options will cease during that time.
